How can a Funky Royal court call itself like that without a place where book aficionados can revel in stories of princes, princesses or palace people?

Thanks to our partner Litera publishing house, the open air library consists of more than 2000 books with subjects ranging from drama and fiction to personal development and holistic lifestyle. We’ve created an entire setting for reading and relaxing amidst the never-tiring world of the festival.

 

 

Forest Library will mean this year a selection of more than 400 books of the most loved collections of Litera Publishing House.

Some of the best fiction, non-fiction and history books:

• The well-known volumes by “Alexandre Dumas” – “Contele de la Monte Carlo”
• Margret Mitchell’’s 3 volume collection, “Pe Aripile Vantului”
• “Fata pe care am lasat-o in urma” and “Ultima Scrisoare de Dragoste” by the faimous Jojo Moyes, a reissue of the novel, translated by Litera in 2013 with the title “Jarfa Iubirii”
• theatre plays by Shakespeare,  such as “Othello” and “Macbeth”
• Motivational, psychological and relaxation drawing books like the famous OSHO collection: “Apa a Disparut, Luna a Disparut”, “CulorileVietii” or the novel by Emma Healey “Elizabeth a Disaparut”;

• Books by contemporary and classical authors such as Johana Basford, Marlon James or Agatha Christine;

• Books for personal development: “Cum sa iubesti”, “Cum sa mergi” etc. by Thich Naht Hanh, “500 de lucrurui de incercat intr-o viata” Elise De Rick;

Forest Library will have a new look this year, inspired by the festival theme: New Funky Royals.The AWAKE audience will be able to read and borrow books during the festival. All books will be donated to the local community at the end.
